[PODCAST] How Curriculum and Culture = Brand Experience
Peter Gow, executive director of the Independent Curriculum Group, shares his wealth of knowledge on all matters branding and marketing for schools.

A veteran of independent schools, Peter Gow’s experience is rich and diverse on all matters from marketing to school culture and teaching. As the executive director of the Independent Curriculum Group, Peter discusses brand experience in independent schools and what makes them successful.

SchoolHouse Summary: Rob Norman discusses branding, marketing, and so much more with Peter in this InspirED Sparkcast episode. Peter’s writing and knowledge has inspired (no pun intended!) Rob on multiple levels.

We can’t emphasize what Peter says enough: “A branding or marketing initiative that doesn’t include teacher voices is probably going to get a few things wrong. It’s going to “guild the lily or two,” it’s going to miss a point or two, sometimes you’re going to end up putting lipstick on a pig. Teachers see this and feel it—they don’t want to be made into liars and they don’t want lies told about their school.”

Wow.  Strong words.  Worth the listen.
